Within folk education in Stockholm, we have an extensive operation with paid courses in Swedish. In our courses, people from all over the world study, and we have groups at different levels from beginner (A1) to advanced (C1). Our participants are generally well-educated and highly motivated, and we maintain a fast pace with a focus on communication.

We are now looking for a team member who will join a team of three people, responsible for running the Swedish as a foreign language program.

The position is primarily administrative, where you will manage the course offerings, instructors, and participants in our administrative systems. Contact with course participants and instructors will be a natural part of your daily work. In addition, you will work with your closest colleagues on developing the course offerings, scheduling, finding substitutes, etc. The role includes providing pedagogical support to instructors regarding teaching materials, course content/design, and technology in teaching (blog, zoom, etc.). The position also includes teaching Swedish as a foreign language, which means you need to have experience in that area.

You are curious about new technology and quick to learn it. We would like you to take the initiative in supporting instructors with this.

We also expect that you share our view on the equal value of all individuals and their right to knowledge.

Qualifications

• You have academic studies in a relevant field.
• We prefer that you have studied Swedish as a second language and pedagogy at university/college.
• You are a native Swedish speaker or have equivalent proficiency.
• You have a high level of proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• You have experience teaching adults Swedish as a foreign/second language.
• You have documented relevant administrative experience.
• You have good IT skills.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment of 80 - 100%, with a start date of May 2025 or by agreement, based in Stockholm. A 6-month probationary period applies.
